Our Farmland

From harsh semi-arid conditions to Mediterranean climates, our farmlands provide optimal breeding and testing grounds for the development of varieties that can withstand diverse, often extreme climate conditions. Dating back to the 1940s, and planning for a future of uncertainty, our farms cultivate both legacy and R&D. These are their stories.

Brurim Farm

Centrally located, the Brurim farm is at the heart of Hazera 1939’s operations, housing the company’s breeding center for field crop seeds. From research and testing labs, through seed preservation, to production, QA, and distribution, the Brurim farm holds the legacy and supports the future of our world-renowned seeds.

Mivchor Farm Located in the central district, in close proximity
to the Brurim farm, the Mivchor farm is an 83 hectare stretch of Mediterranean farmland,
with annual rainfall averaging
400-500 mm.

Izra’am Farm

Situated in the Southern region, the Izra’am farm is where a large percentage of Hazera 1939 seeds are grown, and where varieties suited for dry areas are cultivated and perfected. Izra’am is also a unique avocado seed production center, where West Indian rootstock seeds are cultivated and grown in isolation to maintain purity.

Yavor Farm

Set in the lush green fields of the Galilee, the Yavor farm houses both commercial plots and testing grounds for new varieties adapted to the Mediterranean climate.
