Cultivating Legacy
Hazera 1939 was founded by Israeli growers at the outbreak of WWII, with the aim of ensuring a constant supply of high-quality seeds, even during turbulent times. Today, the company is still partly owned by growers who have their hands in the dirt, and their hearts set on nourishing the world – and helping other growers do the same.
Knowing better than anyone the ins and outs of the trade, and relying on extensive knowledge and experience developed and accumulated over decades, the growers that own and manage Hazera 1939 have made it their life’s work to breed, cultivate, and improve humanity’s most essential food source. This unwavering dedication has positioned the company as a leading supplier of resilient, high-yielding, top-quality field-crop seeds. Additionally, the company specializes in the production of avocado rootstock seeds and propagation materials for various vine varieties.
Growers for Growers
Leveraging the diverse, often extreme climate conditions in the different regions of the country, Hazera 1939 owns and manages three agricultural farms spread across Israel. These farms provide optimal breeding, cultivating and testing grounds for the development of varieties that can withstand a wide range of environments – from harsh, semi-arid conditions to Mediterranean climates.
